Studium Generale: Monny de Boully
Willy & Monny de Boully (Scheveningen 1935)

Kees ‘t Hart and Marlies van der Riet talk (in Dutch) about the surrealist writer Monny de Boully (1904-1968) – aka the ‘Serbian Rimbeaud’.

De Boully moved in the circle around André Breton in Paris during the 1920s and 1930s, but also lived in The Hague from 1935 – 1940.

Ariane Pikaar will reflect on Monny’s letters from The Hague.

There will also be a screening of the film ‘Oui je t’embrasse avec tout mon coeur’ [ca 8 min., below] made by video artist Marc van Bilderbeek as a hommage to his grandfather, Monny de Boully.
