Mehregan Kazemi (*1985) is a visual artist and educator, born and raised in Tehran. In 2010, following the Iranian Green movement protests, Mehregan was forced to leave her country for France where she continued her studies. She is a graduate of the University of the Arts in Tehran and got her MFA at Université Paris 8. Currently she is a residence at Atelier du Coteau in Nantes where she also teaches.
Mehregan Kazemi explores, through her various works, themes such as loneliness, the passage of time, nostalgia and the place of women in society. Through her works she raises questions about Human Rights. She was a participant of the recent exhibition LOCUS: Upcoming Iranian Artists Abroad.
