A performance about dementia: no memory without a past and without a past no future ..
RE/turn is a dance trio featuring an older man who seems to be ‘leaving’ the world around him. His wife can do nothing but witness in silence how his increasing memory loss unrelentingly leads to his alienation from her. Her memories of her youthful lover, performed by the man’s younger alter ego, are the only things she has left …
RE/turn is created and performed by Merel Roozen, Benjamin Muller and Piet Rogie, who also devised the concept.
