Presentatie van de kunststichting Mirrors of Romania in de Flex-ruimte van GEMAK en bij Quartair.

Jonge kunstenaars geven hun visie op de historische gebeurtenissen van 1989. Welk effect heeft de val van het communisme, nu 25 jaar geleden, gehad op Roemenie en in hoeverre houden jonge kunstenaars zich met dit onderwerp bezig? En voor welke dilemma’s staan zij tegenwoordig?

Coen Stork (former ambassador for the Netherlands in Romania from 1988-1993) and Călin Dan (artistic director of MNAC) in conversation with students about the role of artists for building international relations.

23 January – 19:30 Artist in residency presentations, and filmscreening, Quartair Artists: Afra Eisma (The Hague, NL), Mihai Nistor (Iasi, RO).

Films: Mahala – (2014) Director: Eduard Micu and Boxed In – (2014) Director – Ilinca Neagu. Introduction by Corina Burlacu (filmmaker and producer), discussion with director Ilinca Neagu.
